The Great Megamall Adventure :))
I love malls. However, I only go to those located in Makati (Ayala Malls and Power Plant), Manila (Robinsons Place), and Pasay (MOA). Other than those malls are considered out of my “territory” if I may say. So when Kanebo Philippines invited me again to another event in Megamall, I was so looking forward to a so-called “adventure!” Oo, isang malaking adventure na para sa’kin ang magpunta sa Megamall! Hahaha!
Of course, no adventure’s complete without sharing it with someone! So I asked one of my best girlfriends, Val, to go share this “adventure” with me.

Thanks, Val! ♥

♥♥♥
The first stop of the “adventure” was the BEAUTY part = the Kanebo event. Having said that, I’d like to take this opportunity to say thanks (again) to my friend Noriko Hanajima of Summit Media and Yannie Valencia of Kanebo Philippines.

Thanks, Kanebo Philippines!!!
Anyway, Kanebo Philippines held a mall animation featuring their Kate line — which is already my favorite makeup line! SWEAR!!!

Plus, Val and I were able to get free makeovers courtesy of Kanebo Philippines‘ Suzzanne Tan and more freebies!!!

Use Kanebo's Kate line to "raise the impact of your eyes, face, and lips."
Aside from the Kate line, one of my favorite Kanebo products is their Freshel White C Mineral BB Cream. I first used it two days ago, and I instantly fell in love with it!

I use the one in Natural Beige (but there’s also the Medium Beige shade) and for those BB cream junkies, this is definitely a MUST-TRY product!!! Today, I’m glad I was finally able to own one whole tube (after receiving a free sample from the previous Kanebo event I attended! Heehee.)
Moving on…
The second part of the “adventure” was the FOOD AND DRINKS part = Bubble Tea and Happy Lemon. Since I don’t get to go to Megamall that often, I wanted to try “something” that can be found there, but not in the malls I frequent.

Okay, there’s a Happy Lemon branch at Power Plant but still, this was just my second time to try it. AND my first try wasn’t even “happy!” For some time, I wasn’t a fan of Happy Lemon because I got disappointed when I first tried their Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese. I thought it was too overrated and tasted just like any ordinary iced chocolate. But today, that changed when I finally tried their Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese!!!

Bubble Tea x Happy Lemon
Oh well, to each his own. But yeah, consider me a fan already. HA HA HA
And the third part of our “adventure” was seeing our (former) officemates and lovebirds KC (with her family) and Leo at Megamall! Stay in love, you guyysss. ♥

Good luck...

...and may we ALL finally find our "careers." =))
Looking forward to my next MALL adventure,
Mikaaa

Your resident Kanebo girl!
The Medical Ci-TEA!
No, this post doesn’t have anything to do with The Medical City. But with the milk tea craze we’re having right now wherein almost every word that ends with “ty” is replaced with its homophone “tea,” I say WHY NOT?!
Anyway, this post is pretty much a “personal” one because my only goal’s to document TODAY and make it immortalized in this big, big, WORLD (wide web! Haha!)
Today’s a one-of-a-kind day because it was one of those days wherein I had to go to work, do something in the morning, and once I was done with it, the rest of the day was ALL miiine! I just had to go back to the office in the afternoon to log out, but whatever. This happens once every three months. Believe me. Hahaha!
So today, I pretty much spent A LOT of time with my equally pretty girlfriends Val, Jaquie, and Jian. ♥♥♥
Having said that, lemme give you a rundown of MY day…
First, I ate breakfast at Banapple, Ayala Triangle Gardens with Val.

BLUE bloods!!! =))
At around 9am, some people were still just “starting” their days at work, but Val and I were finally done with what we had to do in the office. Hence, the first stop of our FREE day AND the most important meal of the day: BREAKFAST!
Next, time for some girl bonding at Lunula Nail Salon & Day Spa, Paseo Center with Val and Jaquie.

Jaquie had the awesome-est shade of blue, while Val chose red. As for me, I went with the good 'ol French!
LADIES, if you know California Nails & Day Spa, I suggest you also try Lunula Nail Salon & Day Spa for they actually have the same owner! Aside from that, there’s no doubt that the girls and I truly enjoyed their services! We’ll definitely be back.
Last but not the least, it was time to have some Serenitea with Val and Jaquie (again), and then with Jian afterwards!!!

Serenitea, Greenbelt 3 is finally open!!!
First thing’s first. YES, there’s finally a Serenitea branch at Greenbelt 3!!! Unfortunately, they don’t serve snacks in this branch, so be prepared to go hungry. (No chicken chops for you and me! Boo!) But still, Serenitea IS Serenitea. So having their newest branch in the heart of the business district means yay for me, and yay for all milk tea addicts in Makati!!! HA HA HA
And of course, JIAN!!! My friend Jian and I haven’t seen each other in like a year and a half that’s why THIS DAY was a VERY SPECIAL one! Of course we bonded over milk tea, chicken pops, onion rings, even chocolate-covered potato chips and all that junk! =)) Anyway, the reason why I don’t get to see Jian that often is because she’s very busy attending to her nursing duties — hence The Medical City. Hehehe. So there, you already know why that’s the title.

I've missed you so, J!
Or as Jian put it, The Medical Citea — in honor of one of the best drinks in the world!!!

xoxo,
The Lady
A Beauty Affair To Remember
Last week, I was able to attend a bloggers event by Kanebo Cosmetics.

the so-called VIP Beauty Affair ![]()
“LIKE” Kanebo Philippines‘ Facebook page here.
Kanebo Cosmetics actually dates back in 1937.
“…The company entered the cosmetics industry in the following year [1937] and quickly grew to become Japan’s second largest manufacturer of cosmetics. Kanebo Cosmetics products are now sold in 53 countries and regions around the world.
Kanebo Cosmetics spun off from Kanebo in 2004 as a company specialized exclusively in cosmetics. In 2006, it came under the wing of the Kao Group, Japan’s largest manufacturer of household consumer goods…” (To know more about Kanebo‘s Company Outline, click here.)
In fact, I remember that my mom used Kanebo waaay back when I was still a kid. So yeah, you can say that it’s already a tried-and-tested brand for years — heck, even generations! (Read: since the 1930′s.)
Anyway, Kanebo Philippines presented three product lines during the event: Impress, Kate, and Lunasol. ♥♥♥
I can say that Kate is more youth-oriented, while Lunasol is more high-end.
As for Impress, it “is a total anti-aging skincare product line for those who know the joy of keeping themselves refined.” Obviously, it’s a skincare line — which was actually launched on the day of the event.
Here are some things from the press kit for me to share with you:

And can I just emphasize more on “KATE”? As in Kate Beckinsale, Kate Winslet, and of course, KATE MIDDLETON! Hahaha, just kidding! But yes, KAAATE! I already love the “name,” so having a whole makeup line named after it is just. plain. PERFECT!!! At least for me, but you already know why. Heehee. ♥

Kanebo Cosmetics’ KATE line ![]()
Of course cocktails were served, and I even gained a new friend — Poala! Nice, huh?

a new-found friend + cocktails = awesome sauce! ![]()
And if that wasn’t enough, I got to bring home THESE:

Kikay stuff I brought home! Yay!!! ![]()
Aside from the name (haha!), I’m already loving the Kate blush (I got the RD-1) because it’s very compact! It can easily fit into my bag and after months of searching for a new blush (yes, it’s been a long time coming), I think I finally found it — thanks to Kanebo‘s Kate line!
So a big THANK YOU to my friend Noriko Hanajima of Summit Media and Yannie Valencia of Kanebo Philippines for inviting me last week. Looking forward to THE next event! (Yes, there’s another one coming up! Heehee.)
Keep calm and (as Kanebo puts it) FEEL YOUR BEAUTY,
The Lady xoxo

Sweet Stuff ♥♥♥
Professor Utonium sure thought well when he decided to create the Powerpuff Girls with “sugar, spice, and everything nice!”
But before I completely get carried away and take a very long trip down my childhood memory lane, I’ll stick to the first ingredient: SUGAR. THAT and a spoonful of honey on the side, please! Mix them together and you get one ♪ “Sugar, Oh Honey, Honey” singing ME! ♫ Hahaha, sabaaaw!
Forgive me. It’s just that you know… tomorrow’s… tomorrow’s… wait, what IS tomorrow, anyway?
Yeeaaah, let’s stop there alright for tomorrow’s A DAY THAT MUST NOT BE NAMED! So enough with the bitterness and ON to some SWEETNESS! Hahaha!
I’ve been planning to write this entry for weeksss now, and I guess it’s timely since tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day. There, I said IT. Not that I care, thank you very much.
But seriously, if you’re looking for some SWEET STUFF to buy for and give to YOURSELF (you can give them to “others” too, but that’s completely optional! HA HA HA), I’ve two recommendations:
Don’t let its name fool you! The Body Bakery‘s actually a cosmetics line straight from the U.S. of A! Luckily, it’s already available in the Philippines through this site.
Some of the things you can buy from The Body Bakery are their Lip Butter, Whipped Cream, and Body & Hair Icing. I’ve been using their Lip Butter for almost a year now and I plan to be a loyal and VERY SATISFIED customer for as long as I can! You see, aside from the fact that it really works, they also have a selection of oh-so-yummy flavors and scents! Their best-seller’s the Wedding Cake variant, but my personal favorite’s Lavender Cream Puff! ♥

(photo courtesy of The Body Bakery)
Again, trust me when I say that IT REALLY WORKS!!! So if you happen to be in the search for the next best kikay thing, I say go give The Body Bakery a try! Just a warning, though: try to resist eating their products because they may smell as good as freshly-baked pastries, but they’re NOT food! At least not literally.
Now, if you’re REALLY looking for “food,” then THIS is the part where I introduce to you Sophie’s Mom. Let’s start with THESE:

Union Jack made of Nutella Mochi (photo courtesy of Sophie's Mom)

Red Velvet Cupcakes topped with British flags made of Nutella Mochi (photo courtesy of Sophie's Mom)
The pictures you just saw were some of Sophie’s Mom‘s creations for a London-themed party they served last year. And dang, judging from what you just saw, you’ll already know that THIS is one very satisfied Lady!!! ♥
I’ve been reading about Sophie’s Mom for quite some time already that’s why one fateful sweldo day, I decided to treat myself to some of their delectable treats! Yes, treat and treats. Redundant, much? =)) Anyway, their bakery is located in Makati but since I couldn’t go there directly (even though I also work in Makati!), I used the good ‘ol “delivery” method! So what did I get?

I ordered:
- 1 piece each of Chocolate and Frozen Brazo Mochi Ice Cream;
- 2 pieces of Red Velvet Cupcakes (they’re homemade AND they’re topped with cream cheese!);
- 3 pieces of Nutella Mochi Truffles; and,
- 4 pieces of Stookies (they’re cookies stuffed with Oreo!)

Obviously, I tried all of their best-sellers BUT I won’t mind ordering their other products, too, the next time I have the chance! And oh, I did NOT eat all those by myself ah! Of course I shared them with some of my office friends, and I think they’ll also agree that Sophie’s Mom deserves a TWO-THUMBS UP from each and every one of us! Okay, ako na ang defensive! Rawr!!!
For more information (and better product photos!), you can check out Sophie’s Mom‘s
official site, Facebook page, and Twitter account.
So there, you’re already set for Valentine’s Day!!!
WAAIIIT…
…Valentine’s Day??? What the hell’s THAT?!
MWAHAHAHAHAHA!
NEED I SAY MOOORE?

Keep calm and have your sweet tooth on!

Thank You, Idol Patty (Laurel)! :D
I’ve already mentioned several times that daPATTYLAUREL is my most favorite blogger! In fact, it’s actually her who I credit for “resurrecting” my interest in blogging after being on hiatus! (Masyado naman akong feeling at may haya-hiatus pa’kong nalalaman! Hahaha!)
Anyway, I still dream of meeting her in person… Like I said, she’s the “Kate Middleton” in my blogging life! But for now, I think I’ll be content with this:
WOAH. Was that for real?! @_@ How did I receive a one-of-a-kind note like this, you may ask? Very well. Let’s STOP here… And then press REPLAY.
Actually, Patty Laurel has several “contests” on her blog and luckily, I was able to win one!

THE e-mail ♥
It was the Neutrogena gift pack — which I was finally able to claim today!!! Yay! I had to answer the question: ”What’s your most effortlessly beautiful moment?” — at ang sagot, sa amin nalang ni Idol Patty yun! Sikretong malupit! Basta, it’s one kalurKEYT MIDDLETON answer! Nanalo nga ako diba? (Chos, bente kaya kaming nanalo!)

But seriously, naging totoo naman ako sa sarili ko… I swear! Naniniwala yata ako na honesty is STILL the best policy! Wahahahaha!
Wala lang. I just really had to blog about THIS!!! Of course, check out Idol Patty Laurel’s blog at http://dapattylaurel.blogspot.com/ :)

A happy new year, indeed! ♥
Thank you again, Idol Patty!!!
Mwah, mwah, mwah.

The Most Low-Maintenance Girl You’ll Ever Meet!
Most of the time, no one wants to be called “low” anything. But if there’s going to be an EXCEPTION, I think “low maintenance” will be our best bet!
And you betcha! I, Mikhaela Georgette, am a self-proclaimed low-maintenance girl!
Not convinced? Very well. Let me tell you why The Lady considers herself low maintenance for some reasons. Haha!
Let’s start with DOES NOT REQUIRE CONSTANT PAMPERING. First word: MAKEUP! Don’t get me wrong, I’m “interested” in makeup. But you know, I don’t really “love” it (obviously, I DIDN’T say “I love makeup” in the previous sentence) that I can practically live WITHOUT it. Call me a “late bloomer” or something, but it wasn’t until I was 18 and was about to graduate college that I actually started using it. But even now, my makeup routine will always be Pressed Powder. Blush. Lipgloss (or sometimes when I’m in the mood — Lipstick). Tapos! I don’t even use concealer or mascara. Sometimes, eyeshadow gets in the mix, but that’s mostly reserved for very special occasions. Yung tipong pang-debut or wedding! Heck, I didn’t even wear makeup during my first Junior-Senior prom! I don’t even wear makeup when I go to work — at least NOT everyday! Wahahahaha! Loser, much!
But anyway, the Cleanse. Tone. Moisturize. rule every night before dozing off will. always. be. a. NON-NEGOTIABLE! And the occasional visit to your trusted derma is a must, too. But then again, I don’t even visit the derma that often! Ah basta! I-try niyo nalang, pwede ba?! Hehehe.
Now for the next word (or in this case, a phrase): PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION! Yebah! When it comes to “going places,” I actually call myself a “versatile passenger.” Yes, I drive. But I also commute! Be it a bus, jeep, taxi, LRT/MRT, at kahit padyak pa ‘yan, game ako diyan! As long as I get to and fro my destination SAFELY, walang arte-arte si Mikhaela Georgette noh! Kung pwede nga by horse, why not? Feeling prinsesa pa’ko kung magkataon!
Now let’s move on to ONE WHO IS GENUINELY HAPPY TO ENJOY THE COMPANY OF OTHERS. I guess being “someone who is easy to please” is included with this one! But then again, who needs “pleasing” when you’re lucky enough to have AWESOME PEOPLE (e.g. family and friends) to spend your time with? No need to spend moolah. Kahit simpleng kwentuhan lang, solve na’ko! Actually that’s one of my most favorite parts when I hang out with those dear to me… Yung tipong hindi mo na napapansin yung oras sa sobrang enjoy nilang kasama! At dahil diyan, *drama mode* I LOVE YOU MI FAMILIA Y MI AMIGOS! Thank God that we’re all “low maintenance” in our own unique ways! Mwah, mwah, mwah. ♥
But wait, I also have a NON-NEGOTIABLE with this one: “ME” TIME! Sometimes, you need to be alone… to reflect… to feel “independent” (if you aren’t already!)… and TO GENUINELY ENJOY THE COMPANY OF Hotties from Faraway Lands — ergo, MOVIES! Plus BOOKS and THE INTERNET! Seriously, I can watch a movie in a movie theater all by myself or sit in a quiet corner inside a coffee shop (or milk tea place) with a book in hand, and it’ll still be all good for meee! Thanks a lot to artistic licenses and whatnot. Hahaha!
Just a little DISCLAIMER, though. I may be one of the most low-maintenance girls you’ll ever meet… BUT I’m also one of the girls with the “HIGHEST STANDARDS” you’ll ever know! Paaak!
Having said that, paki turuan niyo na nga lang akong maging HIGH MAINTENANCE, please? HA HA HA =))
Only Etude House does.
Having a wide range of cosmetic lines and products that are offered in the market today makes it really hard to pick one. No, scratch that. It is easy to pick but the tricky part is where to put your trust — because after all, it is our skin that is on the line here. And that is where Etude House comes in! The first time I heard of Etude House (which was last December 2009), I just could not wait to get my hands on its products! However, the nearest one is in SM Megamall, which is not-so-near based on where I am residing. But you know, we have a Filipino saying, “Kung gusto, may paraan!” so I really scheduled one day to go there with my friends and visit Etude House. Wonder what I bought? Take a look below.
<img class=”size-large wp-image-111 ” title=”My first Etude House products! As you can see on the picture above, my first trip to Etude House was worth it! (Besides, who can resist the charm of Lee Minho, of Boys Over Flowers fame?) And what made it all the more awesome was when I finally tried the products and realized that they actually enhanced my features. In fact, I personally proclaimed it as my favorite cosmetic brand that I even asked my sister and one of my close friends to buy me more products when they went to Korea! I also decided to make Etude House my go-to store for birthday presents for my girlfriends because that is how I want to spread the word and testify my love for the said brand.
Having said that, I have already gathered a few of my favorite individual products and to know more about them, see below:
Dr. Lash Ampule
My lashes are somewhat my “insecurity” because as much as I want to bat them and use mascara, I just could not do so because they WERE (emphasis on the past tense, please) too short. Thankfully, I discovered Etude House‘s Dr. Lash Ampule from a blog I have been reading! Just like what it promises its buyers, the two gel-based wands (one for the morning and the evening) will help your eyelashes grow a few centimeters. From the first few weeks of trying them, I could already see results. And the good part about it? The “morning” wand doubles as some sort of my mascara for the day! How can you not love a product that can make you hit two birds with one stone? ㅋㅋㅋ

Etude House’s Dr. Lash Ampule
Kissful Lip Care (Kissable Lip Moisture Care)
For this one, I have to say kamsahamnida to my friend because it was her “pasalubong” to me from her recent trip to the “land of kimchi.”
And I think it is pretty self-explanatory based on its name. In fact, I have to say that it is comparable to one of the leading lip balm brands because Etude House‘s Kissful Lip Care does make my lips SHINY and SOFT at the same time whenever I use it! Tip: it is a good product to use to remove that “dry” feeling on the lips after hitting the gym and sweating it all out in the sauna!

Etude House’s Kissful Lip Care
Baby Skin Veiling Pact
One of the things that caught my attention when I saw this product was the statement that was printed on its box (if my memory serves me well): “This product will make you beautiful” or something like that.
Plus, I love the fact that its shade complements my skin color so it practically conceals my blemishes and makes my face appear to be flawless. Oh, and did I mention that its overall packaging can make anyone mistake that its owner is a PRINCESS? Enough said.

Etude House’s Baby Skin Veiling Pact
Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam (Milk Tea)
Of course, I saved the best for last!
I first got this product from my sister when she also went to Seoul, Korea and from the moment I received it, I just cannot get enough it! Etude House‘s Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam in Milk Tea is what I use EVERY DAY AND NIGHT to wash my face off of dirt and impurities. Aside from that, I love its Milk Tea smell that instantly calms me and makes me think of “sugar, spice, and everything nice” every time I massage my face with it! By far, this has got to be my MOST FAVORITE Etude House product.

Etude House’s Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam in Milk Tea
So are you still wondering “what” touches my skin? Well, the title of this entry says it all.
Etude House, fighting!!! <3
