Hotties from Faraway Lands! (Vol. 3)
You’ve seen the title. THIS is already a third attempt to compile a list of not just “the most this, the most that” kind of men, but a combination of everything: talent, looks, fortune, brawn, and the most important of all — brains! Combine them all and I believe that’s the true definition of “HOT!” (Sorry, Paris.)
Of course, these are just some of the popular ones. So for those who make the cut IN REAL LIFE, cheer up! And of course, keep it up! Hahaha!
But yeah, I gotta start naming names sooner or later, so here are they are:
THE HOTTIES FROM FARAWAY LANDS
#10 Dominic Lau
(Faraway Land of Origin: Hong Kong/The United Kingdom)

This British-Chinese VJ-slash-model-slash-host’s love for music can be traced back to his university years. After all, he graduated with a degree in Commercial Music from the University of Westminster in London! Currently, you can catch him on E! News Asia as he delivers the latest AND hottest celebrity news straight from your TV screens. No doubt he’s dubbed as Asia’s “Ryan Seacrest.” Idol-worthy, indeed.
#9 Nick Simmons
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

I came to know of his existence thanks to his family’s reality show: Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Having said that, YES, he’s the son of Gene Simmons (from the rock band Kiss). But aside from having a famous rock star father, Nick‘s famous in his own right too! He graduated with a degree in English Literature from Pitzer College in California and according to Wikipedia, he’s “a comic book writer, musician, and voice over actor.” Yeah, well, you should’ve heard him sing during his parents’ wedding on their reality show. The guy CAN sing! Heck, hearing him talk is already music to my ears! Last but not least, he’s funny! Now, now. You can never go wrong with humor, can you?
#8 Oli Pettigrew
(Faraway Land of Origin: Hong Kong/The United Kingdom)

He may be born in Hong Kong, but he’s currently residing in Singapore. You might’ve spotted him at some high-profile events, but I first set eyes on this British model/host on AXN’s Sony Style. Of course, he also holds a degree in Corporate Communication — with honors! And if that’s not enough, I believe you can still catch him on Cash Cab Asia (not to mention listen to his adorable British accent!)
#7 Matthew Atkinson
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

The “small screen” may be his current specialty, but I don’t doubt that he has what it takes to be the lead on a “bigger” screen someday. But while we’re still waiting for that to happen, watch him on Jane by Design. Trust me, you won’t be able to get enough of that smile AND those dimples!
#6 Ryan Lochte
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

Fresh from the 2012 London Olympics! Aside from graduating with a degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida, this Olympian already has several medals to his name! And even though the swimming portion of the current Olympics will soon end, this Olympian’s not yet done collecting ‘em! Talk about a “gold” rush! Haha!
#5 Colin Egglesfield
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

Tom Cruise? Naaah! There’s more to Colin than just being an actor and former model. He actually hold’s a pre-med course from the University of Iowa and paying for med school was the only reason why he got into modeling in the first place (at least that’s what Wikipedia says! Hahaha!). Not to worry, though. He may have given up his dream of being a doctor, but he sure played one very hot lawyer in the movie Something Borrowed! How’s that for a career change?!
#4 Matt Bomer
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

Let’s drop the bomb right away: he’s gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I’ve to admit that I was surprised when I first found out! But moving on, he still earns a spot in this list because aside from graduating with a degree in Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University, he and his partner also father three sons (through a surrogate). Now that’s what you call BOMER diggity!
#3 Harry Styles
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United Kingdom)

British? Check. Hot body? Are you blind? Of course, check! Killer smile? Check. Music career? Big check AND cheques! There’s definitely only ONE DIRECTION for this lad to go to: SUCCESS! And yes, that’s check! check!! check!!!
#2 Chris Hemsworth
(Faraway Land of Origin: Australia)

There are simply no words for this man. How can you not include the god of thunder in this list? Well, that’s just it. You cannot not include him! And since we’re already used to seeing those rock hard abs and bulky arms of his, I’ll leave you with this picture. After all, it’s not everyday that you get to see an Avenger holding his real-life baby! *all THORgether now* Awwww!
…and of course, THE HOTTEST of ‘em all:
#1 Benedict Cumberbatch
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United Kingdom)

“Stop boring me and think. It’s the new sexy.” The famous character he plays once said on his equally famous TV show. And I agree. Brainy, indeed, is the new sexy! A drama graduate at the University of Manchester, he further trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. And judging from his interviews, the guy’s not just intelligent and talented, I can say that he has tact and respect for women, is a gentleman, and knows how to keep fit too!

Oh yeah, consider me SHERLOCKed.
And there you go! Don’t worry if your “hottie” of choice wasn’t included here. There’s always room for Vol. 4, you know?
The end.
For Some Reason, I Found Myself Listening to THESE
“Call Me Maybe”
by Carly Rae Jepsen
“Payphone”
by Maroon 5 featuring Wiz Khalifa
And for some reason, they both have something to do with A PHONE. Hahaha!
On a serious note, it got me thinking why these songs are hits… And I guess just like every song, it’s because people can relate to their lyrics. Not to mention, groove to their melodies!
But let’s start with “Payphone.“ How exactly can people relate to it? Okay, the music video’s out of the question. The whole concept of it and its relation to the song are still a mystery to me! This version is actually better, in my opinion:
But anyway, if you’re going to ask me, the part that really got my attention was this:
“If happy ever after did exist, I would still be holding you like this. And all those fairytales are full of s*it; one more f*cking love song, I’ll be sick… I’m at a payphone.”
And it wasn’t just the “happy ever after” and “fairytales” that made me press the replay button again and again, it’s the way it was written — in second conditional (excuse the grammarzilla in me) and with straight-to-the-point-no-excuses swearwords! It’s as if the writer really tried to express both the LOVE and PAIN he/she felt, feels, and will feel! And for me, he/she succeeded in doing that exactly.
As for “Call Me, Maybe,“ how do people relate to it? Hmm… To make it easier, let’s make the question how do I relate to it? Hahaha!
Well, I’ll let you in on a secret: Ms. Jepsen‘s hit song is actually one of my fantasies when I travel! You know, go to a foreign place, spot that kind of guy, approach him, give him my number even though we both know it’s craaazy, but then what’s done’s done, so the ball’s already in his court and it’s up to him whether or not he’ll do the next move. Call me. But maybe. Tapos ang kanta!
That. And well, the song’s truly catchy! Even YOU can’t deny that! Mwahahahahaha!
And there goes another rambling from yours truly. =)) To end this, I just want to say that I also found myself WATCHING these. Enjoy!!!
my fellow Lasallians‘ take on “Call Me, Maybe”
ANIMO!
Alex G‘s sweet rendition of “Payphone”
I wish she stuck with the original swearwords, though.
Instead of changing them to “it” and “stupid” respectively… If you know what I mean!
Still COOKin’ in 2012!
“I’m sorry if it took us awhile to go back.” He said during that night. Or something like that.
Well, apology accepted! After all, we’ve waited three years to see him again! (By “we,” I’m referring to me, my Ate Fai, and the rest of his loyal followers since his Idol days!)
So who exactly am I talking about? Why, David Cook, of course!

The guy sure owns several guitars, which he used during his concert! ![]()
It’s true, it did take him awhile to come back to Manila because when he first played for his Filipino fans, I still haven’t found my first full-time job, my sister just got married, and he shared the stage with his runner-up, David Archuleta! In fact, I documented that epic concert in my previous blog, which you can check out by clicking HERE.

Whether it’s 2009 or 2012…

…my sister and I are definitely COOKistas! Haha!
Indeed, a lot of things have happened since 2009. And now that we’re in 2012, these happened: I just resigned from my first full-time job, my niece is about to turn three years old soon, and David Cook (DC) finally decided to have a concert of his own! But one thing remains: my undying love for his angelic-yet-powerful rock voice!
And speaking of his “angelic-yet-powerful rock voice,” have you gotten yourself a copy of his latest album This Loud Morning?

Well if you still haven’t, I suggest you go get one as soon as you can and turn to tracks like “Right Here, With You,“ “Fade Into Me,“ and “4 Letter Word.“ Why? Wala lang, those are my favorite tracks kasi! Eh nagbabakasakali lang na pareho tayo ng taste in music! Wahahahaha!
But seriously, DC‘s voice never fails to put a smile on my face! If only I could describe his voice by using an adjective that is used to describe looks, “gwapo” would be the appropriate one! Oh wait! I did describe his voice like that once, twice, or thrice. Whenever I listen to his songs, bigla nalang ako mapapasabi ng “ang gwapo talaga ng boses niya!” Hahaha!
I guess you just really can’t deny “talent” when you “hear” one! ♥

Always a David Cook fan, Mika ![]()
My Direction Infection
So One Direction.
Ever since I got “infected,” I’ve written two 1D-related posts on this blog (HERE and HERE). If those weren’t enough, I even acquired my very own “fangirl stuff,” which includes 1D‘s debut album, their two official books — One Direction: Forever Young (Our Official X Factor Story) and Dare to Dream: Life as One Direction, their first concert DVD, a baller, a fan magazine, and still counting…

So when Ms. Dyan Zarzuela of Candy magazine asked me if I could share my 1D “fangirl story” with her, of course I didn’t think twice! There’s no better way to proclaim to “the world” my 1D devotion than with the help of the Philippines’ #1 teen magazine, Candy, right???
The feature was short, but definitely sweet.
As for the interview itself, I kind of got carried away! Hahaha! But if you get to read it, you’ll definitely UNDERSTAND how and why I got “infected” in the first place! So I decided to share it with yoouuu!
And now I’m warning you… what you’re about to read from hereon was pretty much how I gushed about 1D!
The video that made me become a 1D fan.
I’ve to be honest… my Direction Infection wasn’t a “love at first sight” thing. In fact, I kind of overlooked their “What Makes You Beautiful” music video the first time I saw it on TV. But on MARCH 21, 2012 (yes, it’s pretty recent; and yes, I know the exact date! Haha!), THIS video made me see 1D in a whole different light:
“ONE DIRECTION Teaches You to Speak British!” was THE video that made me a 1D fan!
The top 3 things I love about 1D.
First, they’re BRITISH — which is kind of a giveaway already since I’m a self-proclaimed Anglophile! Heehee.
Second, their STORIES. All One Directioners know that 1D was formed thanks to The X Factor (UK), but when I read their latest book, Dare To Dream: Life As One Direction, it was as if I was able to have a deeper connection with the boys and realized that yes, they, too, were just ordinary humans like most of us who once upon a time had big dreams… and were able to make them come true!
Last but definitely not the least, their MUSIC. Of course! 1D‘s album is actually what I play ALL DAY on my iPod! And I repeat, not just their hit singles, but the ENTIRE ALBUM — no kidding! I love the fact that each song in their album is distinct from one another. For example, “What Makes You Beautiful” sounds very current, typical for a boyband… but when you reach the last track, “Stole My Heart,” I actually get some kind of an 80′s vibe or something! I can’t really explain it… all I know is that 1D‘s music isn’t something people should take for granted or worse, underestimate.
My fave 1D member.
HARR-EH!!! Yes, Harry Styles is my favorite 1D member because I love his (husky) voice, I love his megawatt smile, I love his hair, I love his green eyes, I love that he loves cats, I love his personality (such a self-proclaimed cheeky chappy!), I love his “Isn’t She Lovely” audition on The X Factor, I love the fact that he’s close to his mum, I love that he doesn’t think age matters (hahaha!)
Oh let’s face it, I love EVERYTHING about him!!! ♥
Things that make a real 1D fangirl AND things that a real 1D fangirl would never do.
A real 1D fangirl is someone who…
…knows all 1D‘s songs by heart.
…has a Facebook wall/Twitter feed full of 1D news/stuff!
…gets her hands on every possible 1D merchandise — whether it’s from the U.K., Australia, America, or just any part of the world (guilty as charged! Haha!)
…smiles at the thought of 1D. As simple as that.
…supports not just her favorite member, but ALL the members!
…will name her future sons Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall, and/or Zayn! =))
A real 1D fangirl would never…
…bash/trash-talk any of the boys’ girlfriends/love interests (no matter how much that sucks!) </3
…buy a pirated 1D album/CD/DVD. It’s just plain wrong… not to mention ILLEGAL.
…compare the boys to other artists. Simply put, the boys are unique in their own ways. 1D IS 1D; they’re incomparable. (Spoken like a true One Directioner! Hahaha!)
…outgrow the boyband. 5, 10, or more years from now — even when they’re already classified as a “middle-aged men” band! There’s just NO CURE for this Direction Infection!!!
—
And actually, I once had a Facebook status talking about my decision to resign from my job:
“I contemplated… and changed my mind. Fight ’til the end! Ika nga, use all possible ‘lifelines!’ You’ll be surprised that even One Direction played a big role in this decision-making… That’s HOW MUCH they’re influencing my life right now! But then again, only a REAL FAN GIRL will understand why.”
Believe it or not. But yes, BELIEVE IT!
My friends actually found it “different” that I decided not to resign from my job because of 1D. Obviously, the boys weren’t the only reason BUT they were one of the major factors.
First is very obvious. How else would I be able to afford 1D fangirl-ing stuff and merchandise if I didn’t earn my own money? At my age, I already pay for my own “wants” and asking money from others isn’t just an option.
Next, they inspire me. To WORK HARD, that is. We think that being a celebrity/superstar is all glitz and glamour. True. But it also takes a lot of hard work. We all witnessed THAT (hard work) during the seventh season of The X Factor (UK). We all STILL see that while the boys are busy traveling the world, satisfying each and every fan… while enduring being away from their families and not having the same kind of privacy when they were still ordinary British boys. Why do they do those? Because that’s how DEDICATED they are. Because that’s how they’re grateful for all the support they received, are receiving, and will receive from their fans!
But going back to my status, I’ve to say that the “fight” is over now. I did use my so-called “lifelines,” but my decision to finally resign eventually became a “need” instead of a “want.” I may be unemployed now, but I’m not rushing anyway. It’s because when I land my next job, I don’t want it to be just another job — I want it to be where I can finally have a “career.” Besides, I already have sufficient time to focus on my graduate studies now. And guess what? I still get to be my fangirl self and get my hands on 1D merchandise — thanks to my ever supportive family members! Harharhar.
Like I said, only a REAL FANGIRL can get me! Enough said.

Ooh, while we’re at it,
why not grab a copy of Candy magazine’s latest issue?
Available wherever magazines are sold for only Php100.
WHAT and IF
If you’re a fellow lady and you’ve watched the movie Letters to Juliet, then you’ll understand why that’s my favorite movie (even Titanic takes only second place!). I also bought and read (of course!) the non-fiction book it’s based on:
“Letters to Juliet: Celebrating Shakespeare’s Greatest Heroine,
the Magical City of Verona, and the Power of Love”
by Lise and Ceil Friedman

Because of this book, I found out that Shakespeare wasn’t the original writer of “Romeo and Juliet.” He simply had his own version… Or not?
Anyway, I swear that it’s ALWAYS my go-to movie whenever I want to feel “in love” at any given time (mostly during weekends), and it doesn’t hurt that it’s set in Italy and stars an Australian actor with a British accent! HA HA HA
The movie was released in 2010… so you can say that for the past two years, THIS memorable line has never failed to put a smile on my face and a frown in my heart both at the same time:
“…’What’ and ‘if’ are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: What if? What if?? WHAT IF??? I don’t know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love, then it’s never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn’t it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don’t know what a love like Juliet‘s feels like: love to leave loved ones for, love to cross oceans for, but I’d like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I’d have the courage to seize it. And Claire, if you didn’t, I hope one day that you will…”
Beautiful words, aren’t they? Well lately, the words “what” and “if” have been occupying my mind too. And today, it truly hit me when I saw these words in the book I’m currently reading (how timely!):
“…I realized the Fates really were cruel… For the rest of my life I would be thinking about her. She would always be my biggest what if.”
Except that when it comes to my own story, replace “her” and “she” with “him” and “he.”
But the thing with “what” and “if” is they don’t only apply to love. They are present in most aspects of our lives. Or in my life.
What if I said “yes” to that guy from my high school? What if I realized earlier my love for writing and took up journalism instead? What if I applied to Ateneo, too? What if I didn’t become friends with him? What if I acted differently toward him? What if I chose the other company instead of my now-former company? What if I answered this and that during my interview? What if I didn’t do this? What if I didn’t say that?
Ugh. Don’t you just hate THAT feeling? Of asking yourself questions that start with “what” and “if”? @_@ According to my friend Mr. Longman, “what-if” is a countable noun that is defined as “something that could happen in the future or could have happened in the past.”
Unfortunately for us, most of our what-ifs are the latter. Am I right? But if not, well I guess it’s up to each one of us to make sure that our what-ifs are ”something that could happen in the future.” Period.
Wala lang. I just hope the next time you have to combine the words WHAT and IF, you can finally think differently. Instead of going crazy, try reminding yourself of WHAT IS or telling yourself of WHAT WILL BE. At the end of the day, believe that everything happens for a reason. And that you, my friend, are the author AND editor of your own life. So gooo, write your own story. If you prefer a love story, why not? Just do it.
And just don’t let me write any more words on this post or else our household will run out of cheese! Mwahahahahaha!
Oh well. Luckily, Colbie Caillat was able to sum up my “what if” in the love department with just one song! It’s also a good thing that it’s the theme song of my favorite movie — Letters to Juliet (see introductory paragraph). Anyway, take the time to click “play,” listen to the song, and read its lyrics… and again fellow ladies, you’ll know WHY:
“…In my heart is where you’ll be / I’ll keep waiting till we meet…”
How about you? Care to share your biggest what if in life?
Here’s hoping to turn my what if into what is or what will be,
Mikhaela Georgette ♥♥♥
Who Wouldn’t Want To Kiss Captain America and Thor?!
…Iron Man, that is!
That’s right, I’m talking about The Avengers. (Spoiler alert for those who still haven’t watched the movie!)

Anyway, let’s get this done and over with! Even before I watched the movie, I already prepared myself for some major EYE CANDY! Pagsamahin mo ba naman ang dalawang CHRIS — Evans at Hemsworth — sa isang pelikula! Deymn! Wala na yatang mas iinit pa sa napakainit na summer na ‘to!!! @_@
If only the “Avengers” were in a contest, I’d probably award them with these:
Best Biceps: THOR

Oh my guulaaay! Ilang kilong gulay ba ang kinailangang kainin ni Chris Hemsworth para magka-braso ng ganun?! I seriously couldn’t keep my eyes off of his arms whenever he had his close-ups! Yes, Thor‘s biceps > Thor‘s blue eyes and blond hair! Chris H., pa-huuug nga!!!
Best (Upper) Body: CAPTAIN AMERICA

Hay Chris Evans! Oo na, ikaw na! IKAW NA ANG MAS SEXY SA’KIN! Kaasar, much!!! =))
Best Lines: IRON MAN

From being his usual “genius, playboy, billionaire” self, to his anti-kiss statement (more on that later), I think the outcome of the movie did quite very well thanks to Robert Downey, Jr.‘s witty lines! Plus, I think he’s the “best” Avenger (and I’m NOT being biased here! Haha!)
Best Temper: THE HULK

Whaaat? I know that’s sooo obvious… but I just can’t CAN’T include him! Besides, Mark Ruffalo‘s a-okay in his own way (well, just don’t compare him to Evans and Hemsworth and we’re good!) AND I love the color green! ’Nuff said.
—
Hahaha, okay! For all my men readers, I apologize. The things you just read were meant for my fellow lady readers! (Ain’t that right, girls? I swear, you’ll totally get me once you watch the actual movie!)
Moving on, I have to admit that I ain’t a genuine The Avengers fan. So let’s not get into all those comic book stuff and Comic-Con conventions and whatnot! My knowledge of The Avengers is only limited to its Hollywood version, so to all die-hard followers out there, chillax! This post is purely for fun! Or as they say in showbiz, purely for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES only!!!
But overall, I can say that the movie was good! Maybe not THAT great (*cough*FIGHT SCENES*cough*), but it’s worth your money nonetheless. I actually plan on watching it again with my girlfriend Val!

excuse the low-quality mobile upload! =))
Ooh, before I forget, S.H.I.E.L.D’s very own Nick Fury, Hawkeye, and Black Widow weren’t bad at all! So those are more “things” to look forward to!

Now going back to Iron Man‘s anti-kiss statement, THAT scene was actually one of my favorites! Laugh out loud kung laugh out loud talaga!
“Please tell me nobody kissed me!” -Iron Man to Captain America, The Hulk, and Thor (you have to watch the movie to relate! Hahaha!)
Seriously, WHO WOULDN’T WANT TO KISS CAPTAIN AMERICA, THE HULK, AND THOR???
Okay, maybe not The Hulk…
But when we’re only talking about Chris AND Chris, to answer that question… NOT ME!

Thor and Captain America ♥

Which "Chris" are you on?
By all means, please replace “nobody” with “EVERYBODY!” Diba? Wahahahaha!

Lemme know what you think once you watch The Avengers.
ENOUGH SAID!
The Avengers is now shown in Philippine cinemas.
“When Mika Met Harry…”
Yesterday, I blogged about my very own “Direction Infection.”
Today, I’ll be posting pictures of how my future husband and I will look like…

Mika and Harry ♥
HEP-HEP! Before I get violent reactions from fellow One Directioners out there… CHILLAX! You can also pose beside any One Direction member by using FACEinHOLE.

See what I mean? You don’t only get to make your (day)dreams a reality, you also get to change your looks! Haha!
Oh well. I guess I still have to wait for the day when I’ll FINALLY meet Harry Styles in person… but until then, there are my daydreams… and yes, FACEinHOLE!
(baller design/photo courtesy of One Direction Philippine Merchandise)
This Thing People Younger Than Me Call An “Infection”
It all started with a link — a “tweeted” link, actually. After that, I practically waited ONE week before I decided to post something about my entry’s focus for this day. You know, just to make sure that what I feel is legit… After all, “it” happened oh so fast — thanks to my friend Jeselle!!!

:)
Oh yes, I needed ONE week to really convince myself that I’m indeed a fan of, none other than, One Direction (or 1D for short)
But I have to be honest. The first time I saw their music video on a local music channel, the first thing I thought of was:
“A boyband? In the year 2012?! Oh not again…”
And then I kept hearing their songs almost everywhere. Nada.
And then I found out that they’re British. Oh-kaaay… but still not enough.
And then Jesselle finally sent me something on Twitter, telling me that the link she provided reminded her of me since I love everything British…
I watched it… found them very charming… and then realized that they were the same people on THAT music video I didn’t give much attention to the first time I saw it…
After pressing “replay” a few more times, watching related videos here and there, and basically spending more time on YouTube than expected (almost 6 hours!), I stumbled upon THAT music video again. But unlike before, my eyes were finally glued to the screen, my ears were finally listening rather than hearing, and overall, I just saw “What Makes You Beautiful” in a whole new light:
That’s when it hit me. I finally got the so-called “Direction Infection” — which usually affects younger people. But hey, Jesselle and I can be the “exception” to this “infection!” =))
And of course, just like Ronan Keating (Boyzone) and Nicky Byrne (Westlife) from the nineties, I also have my eyes on a particular 1D member: HARRY STYLES. ♥

The other "Prince Harry" of England. Heehee. ♥
Watch the following video to know why Harr-eh‘s oh sooo “lovely” to me! Gaaah~
Yes, One Direction was formed thanks to the seventh season of The X Factor (UK).
And yes, thanks to Simon Cowell.
To prove that I’m far from being “cured” of this “infection” (not that I want to be anytime soon!), I bought 1D‘s debut album in less than 24 hours of being “infected.” Haha!

Of course, I bought the one with the "Harry" cover! ♥
I know, I know. I’m already too old for this kind of stuff… but as One Direction “sang” it,
♪ “I don’t, I don’t, don’t know what it is, but I need that one thing… And you’ve got that one thing.” ♫
Yes, I need THIS one thing… whether you call it a crazy thing, fangirl-ing, and even an “infection,” only one thing‘s for sure: whatever THIS thing is, 1D‘s definitely the only ONE that’s got it!
And I don’t plan on doing anything about it, but simply ENJOY it while I’m still already not-so-young and not-so-beautiful. Wahahahaha! Heard enough of IT? Okay, great!
THAT Accent
Sobrang babaw ng dahilan but last night, I was literally SMILING before going to sleep. Why? Because I watched the interview of A1‘s Ben Adams with Boy Abunda. It was already around 12:15AM, but I didn’t care — I had to finish the entire Bandila show just to watch a rare interview of one of my boyband member crushes that dates back more than a DECADE ago!!!
So anyway, A1 is here in the Philippines because they have a concert tomorrow, February 25, 2012 (Saturday) at the Smart Araneta Coliseum with Blue and 98 Degrees‘ Jeff Timmons.
Too bad I can’t find a copy of THE interview on the Internet, but I hope this video will suffice:
It’s all about THAT accent, yo!
Sabi nga ni Karen Davila, kung may LINsanity na nagaganap sa mga panahong ito, pwes kagabi, namayagpag ang BENsanity! Numero unong trending topic agad sa Twitter (Philippines) ang interview!!!
Seriously, what is it with THAT accent anyway? I know it always “has” ME in that Jerry-Maguire-you-had-me-at-hello kind of way AND I know for a fact that I’m not the only one! Most girls fall for it, too!
Honestly, if the Brits could think of using their “accent” as a form of a marketing strategy, it might just work — at least for ME! I know this because I think I might just be getting A1‘s latest album… thanks to THAT interview and yes, thanks to THAT accent! Haha! ♥
So yeah. UNFORTUNATELY for me, I won’t able to watch the concert! Boo-hoo.
But FORTUNATELY for me, I can always go to the nearest record store and buy THIS:

-Excerpt from the interview-
Ben Adams: Why do you think roses have thorns?
Boy Abunda: Because beauty is deadly!
(Meganon talaga Tito Boy?! Wala na tuloy ibang nasabi si Ben kundi TAYNK YOW! *in THAT sexy British accent of his* HA HA HA)
Oh well. Gotta keep calm and carry on…
And oh, long live the Queen!

Family Night
February 18, 2012. My family and I attended a thanksgiving dinner for our grandparents’ joint death anniversary.

We love you Lolo Joe and Lola Vic! Rest assured, you'll forever be in our hearts!!! ♥
It started with a Mass… then dinner… and of course, ENTERTAINMENT courtesy of The Executives Band!
My Tito Hector and cousin Julius Sanvictores are actually part of the aforementioned band, as well as one of my favorite bloggers, Cara Manglapus — who also happens to be the only girl member-slash-vocalist of the said group.

The Executives Band

The Executives Band's Cara Manglapus

That night, I was also lucky enough to have finally met her. (Thanks to my cousin Julius for introducing us! Haha!)

another "fangirl moment" for me! =))
Check out Cara‘s blog HERE.
And of course, who can forget our much needed “cousin bonding!” One just tied the knot, the other WILL also tie the knot within the year, and then another one just got engaged too! Sooo, hindi naman ako masyado na-prepressure ng mga pinsan ko noh?! Oh well. HA HA HA
Anyway, meet my beautiful and handsome cousins! And along the way, guess who’s who!

Couples' Corner ♥♥♥
After our thanksgiving dinner, we made the most of our “bonding time” by deciding to go to a spa across the street. Spontaneous Moment #1.

at Babaylan Spa
Babaylan Spa‘s second branch is located at Scout Tuazon, Quezon City. You can avail of their full-body massage for only Php450. But if you prefer a quicker way to relax, you can opt for a foot massage (Php300) or foot spa (Php350). Aside from the fact that it’s open from 9-2am (yes, 2AM!!!), I love Babaylan Spa for its location. Let’s just say that its location is where I had most of my childhood memories, and THAT place will forever hold a special place in my heart JUST BECAUSE.
And if that wasn’t enough, we all decided to drink MILK TEA in the wee hours of the night (read: 2am)! We went to four different milk tea places along Tomas Morato but unfortunately, the first three milk tea places we went to were already closed. Luckily, we found SerendipiTea!!!

My SerendipiTea = milk tea fix at 2am!
Visit My SerendipiTea‘s Facebook page here.
And that was our Spontaneous Moment #2.
Ah, one of the good things about spending time with my cousins: SPONTANEITY. We may not have the chance to meet as often as we want to but when we do, it’s something I always look forward to! So there. See you next time! (And I do hope it’s SOON, too!!!)
The Lady is now out!
Watch Mamma Mia, Go to Baguio
Sooo, I had another EPIC weekend. And knowing me, I just have to blog about it — again! But hey, this is a PERSONAL blog after all. So what did you expect? Haha!
Anyway, let’s start with ba-ba-ba-BAGUIO!!!
My family and I went to Baguio for the weekend since my brother-in-law was already there anyway for a golf tournament. We stayed at one of The Manor‘s family suites in Camp John Hay, and that’s where all the epic-ness started!

If you’ve been to The Manor (or Baguio in general), I think you’ll agree that the weather isn’t the same in Manila. And when I say “not the same,” I mean it in a positive way! I don’t know about you, but I’m actually a “cold person” — meaning, I looove anything cold, including the cold weather! But if you want to interpret my being a “cold person” in a different way, that’s NOT my business anymore! Go ahead, feel free to do so.

Hahaha! Of course, I kid!
Moving on, here are some more shots of The Manor:

view from our room

Aside from savoring the awesome cold weather (I heard that it was 10 °C when we were in Baguio), I just practically took advantage of the fact that I could be a “bum” in my own right for at least a day. So some of the things I did while in The Manor Baguio were watching DVDs (Bridesmaids and Chances Are — which by the way stars a very young Robert Downey, Jr. So spell H-O-T!), eating, shopping at the outlet stores, eating, having a massage at the spa, and yes, EATING! EATING!! EATING!!!

two of my newest discoveries! HARHARHAR
Hay, kaya nakakarir ko ang pag-shoshorts sa Baguio eh… eh pa’no, marami kasing baong “fats” ang legs ko! (Read: mga pata!) Wahahahaha!

jump shots!
Well, ganun talaga! Gotta love my cuuurves, people! And yes, gotta take advantage of the cold weather I’m so deprived of while in Manila! Kaya shorts all the way talaga!!! HA HA HA
But seriously, if you’re planning to GO TO BAGUIO, stay at The Manor. It’s ALL good!!! I actually give it a rating of: FIVE HEARTS (♥♥♥♥♥)
—
And then… there’s MAMMA MIA!

The Lady's outfit wouldn't be complete without her favorite accessory - anything UNION JACK! Hehehe.
Speaking of the U.K., did you know that MAMMA MIA! The Musical is actually an original British production??? Ooh, plus! plus! points there!!!
Anywhooo, I watched it last Friday at CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines) with my sisters and MY, MY, it was totally a very, very, lovely show! Of course my ticket was the cheapest (tumataginting na Php772.50 lang naman), but who cares? Nilibre lang naman ako eh… magrereklamo pa ba ako?! =))

view from my seat... not THAT bad! Haha!

my "cheap," but totally worth it ticket!
Besides… all those “accents,” all those witty lines, and all those wonderful ABBA songs? Totally WORTH IT!!! I actually plan on watching it again if I have the time… this time, with a more “expensive” ticket for a better view, and yes, a better “musical” experience! Rawr!
But yeah, you and I have to hurry because the show runs until February 19, 2012 only. We can cross our fingers and hope that it gets extended, but why depend on wishful thinking when you already have the power in your hands NOW? At meganon talaga?!
Sabi nga ng ate ko,
“Kung gusto niyo sumaya, manood kayo ng MAMMA MIA!“
Oha, rhyming lang si a-TEH! But it’s true. If you want to be happy, head to CCP and WATCH MAMMA MIA! now!!! I promise, it’s a rating of FIVE HEARTS and mooore (♥♥♥♥♥+++++)!

miKAte Strikes Again!!!
What do you get when you combine MIKA + KATE? Well, you get miKAte (pronounced as “mee keyt”)! Wahahahaha, sabaw! =))
But seriously, ever since I discovered FACEinHOLE last year, I just couldn’t help wasting hours putting my face on different bodies when I’m bored! Err… that didn’t sound right, did it? Hahaha! Anyway, you know what I mean! It’s for pure ENTERTAINMENT purposes only.
And so, I present to you…
In cooperation with FACEinHOLE…
…Lady miKAte!

*all together now*
WA HA HA HA HA!
Pagpasensiyahan niyo na’po… Isa yata ito sa mga naidudulot ng quarter-life crisis! Mwahahahahaha!
In the meantime, also go crazy using FACEinHOLE by clicking here.
See you next time…
…The Lady is now OUT!
Jingle Bell ROCK!!!
In this blog entry, I’d like to take a “short” (and quick!) trip down memory lane.
Destination: just this (past) weekend!
First stop:
“Blogoversary”
First of all, I’d like to greet my blog a HAPPY SECOND YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!
I actually started this blog on December 11, 2009 ON IMPULSE that’s why I wasn’t THAT consistent at first (you can check out my blog history on my sidebar if you want proof! Haha!) But anyway, I decided to publicize it THIS YEAR, and I got hooked — line, sinker, and all that jazz! I kind of declare 2011 as my “blogging year.” Having said that, cheers to mooore years of “consistent” blogging! Yay me!
Next stop:
Jingle Bell “ROCK!”
(Hence the title.)
And then there’s our company Christmas party! Last Saturday, my company held our annual Christmas Party at Hard Rock Cafe, Glorietta and my golly! Many “unexpected” things happened…

…starting with the pre-party! Let’s just say that in between getting stuck in traffic for two hours (!) and walking the not-so-short distance from the parking lot to the venue wearing my four-inch heels (!!!), “something happened” at the parking lot. I’m just glad I was with one of my close friends, Val (she’s the “only” witness AND I, thaaank herrr!)
I’m also happy that I was able to park my car PROPERLY! Whew! Whew!! WHEW!!! Hahaha!

The Lady and her car. Chos!
Now, let’s go to the actual party!!! Like I said, Val and I were late for two hours (thanks a lot to the Zobel traffic!), but when we arrived, people were eating already. Hahaha, nice timing! Prizes were given. People were nominated. Games were played. Wait, what — people were nominated? NOMINATED FOR WHAT? Well, there were two: “Best Dressed” and “Star of The Night.”
I, for one, got nominated for the former. At isa lang ang masasabi ko: SAAN NANGGALING YUN?!

Wahahahaha!
NakaKALURKEYT MIDDLETON!!! Kasi naman, this is what I call THE “KULTO” LOOK! Black na black — parang pang-Halloween lang! Pero kasi, BLACK AND METALLIC ang theme namin eh! KALURKEY talaga!!! =))

Good thing I have a co-nominee from my department, Marj (who's also my current seatmate!)
With you Marj by my side, it wasn’t THAT kalurkey anymore! Meganon?! Joke lang. I sound like some freakin’ conyotic-speaking kolehiyala. Define ANNOYING. Hahaha, PEACE!
Overall, it was one heck of a Christmas party! I seriously had fun! Ika nga, it doesn’t really matter “where,” BUT with “who” you’re with! And with my awesome office friends? Oh it’s always gonna be a GREAT TIME with GREAT PEOPLE! Yebah!!!
Introducing, the AWESOME PEOPLE OF CDP:

with Angela and Val

Val and Ms. H

with my "milk tea" buddy, Mark

with CJ

with sexy Kimmy

with Gian (a special shoutout to our IDOL PATTY Laurel!!!)

hahaha.

with KC (a.k.a. Ms. Lucky! She always wins stuff!!!)

with the beautiful Mao

with Maica, Mark, and Val
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Which brings us to…
The last stop:
Nyoy Volante and The Rhythmic Circle

Nyoy Volante and his band
The after-party was all about a violin, singing (President and CEO included! Haha!), a violin, jamming, and did I say A VIOLIN— ist?! HA HA HA
Let’s just say that a few minutes after they started playing (and after our boss started singing!), all eyes were also on the person on Nyoy‘s right — including mine:

Need I say more? ♥
Siya naaa! Siya na talaga ang HEARTTHROB! Talented pa!!! ♥♥♥
Lagot-lagot ako nito kay Reed!!! Pa’no ba ‘to, panibagong blog entry na naman ba? Haha!
‘Nuff said.
My Christmas Photo Blog
SIGH. Don’t you just love Christmas? Well, I DO! That’s why I decided to make this random photo-heavy post for a not-so-random Season! Just a warning though, the following are (raw) pictures of Christmases past! So yeah, photography skills NOT YET included! Hahaha!
—
Whether at home or outside… from Santas here, Christmas Lights and Trees there… the Christmas Spirit sure is everywhere!!!

And then of course, you have the different celebrations! From the routine and simple ones, up to the grand family reunions, not even the Grinch can steal MY Christmas from meee! So what exactly do I do during the Yuletide Season? Well, I…

listen to the Philippine Opera Company (POC)...
(This is a simple compilation video that I made! Sorry for the mediocre editing skills, but I did take all the videos myself so I hope you enjoy watching them! And of course, I hope that you feel the Christmas Spirit as I did!)

enjoy Greenbelt's holiday ambience...

also give (rather than receive)...

just look at the smiles on their faces = PRICELESS!

have my "Christmas moment" with my parents...

sing my heart out in the house where no one can stop me...

drink "coffee" with my cousins on a chilly December night...

attend my friend's debut...

with the debutante, my friend Minnie

eat a Christmas-themed chocolate...

watch a live (Darren) CRISSmas concert...

receive a "something useful" gift on Christmas Eve...
But most of all…
spend Christmas with the most important people in my life: MY FAMILY!
Having said that, meet my lovely cousins and sisters, and of course, my oh-so-adorable niece!!!

♥♥♥
Now, for my wish list? I actually have only one:

Can you blame me? Wahahahaha! Just kidding.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! ♥
“Wilt thou wed me?”
WEDDINGS. They’re expensive, stressful, time-consuming…

This is actually my sister when she walked down the aisle... ♥
…but most importantly, they bring TWO PEOPLE together — two people who are so full of LOVE they actually give Romeo and Juliet a run for their money… two people who are selfless enough to spend and share their lives with one another for as long as they live.
As Alice Cullen put it, “Weddings, they bring everyone together!”
♥♥♥
But even before we get to the “formal” I DOs, one I DO must be uttered first — which brings us to THE PROPOSAL!
And as wrong timing as this post may seem (since it’s DECEMBER, not JUNE!), I’d like to share with you the video that started this whole “wedding” idea:
Aahhh, FLASH MOBS. From the moment I’ve seen them in Friends with Benefits, I instantly fell in love with the entire concept! And yes, hopeless romantic guys sure thought well for using a flash mob to execute one of the most nerve-wracking questions they’ll ever ask in their life:
“Wilt thou wed me?”
or if you prefer the modern translation,
“WILL YOU MARRY ME?”
Although it’s been said many times, many ways (oha! I can still make this post sound Christmas-y! Hahaha!), one thing remains: that when THAT one question is properly answered, it opens a whole new world to the people involved! It’s not just the kilig factor anymore… It’s more of the fact that two people will finally turn a new chapter in their lives, and embark on a journey… a journey which most likely leads to HAPPILY EVER AFTER! Enough. said.
Just so you know, I recently got married, too…

If you don't DREAM BIG, what's the use in dreaming? Mwahahahahaha! ♥
…IN MY DREAMS, that is!

with my cousin and fellow bridesmaid, Nadine ♥
Oh well. Always a bridesmaid, but not really looking forward to being the bride (at least NOT YET!),
Mikhaela Georgette Chiong-Jobs =))
P.S: I’d like to share with you another video here. Wala lang. If you watch it, you’ll notice the location. Sabi na dapat tumira na’ko sa CALIFORNIA eh — lalo na sa Palo Alto!!! Heehee.
♥♥♥
Season’s Greetings!
*all together now*
CHRISTMAAAS IS HEEERE! ♥
Yes, IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR once again! And if you still haven’t noticed, even my blog is being one with the Season! Heehee. So let me take this opportunity to be one of the first peeps to greet you: SEASON’S GREETINGS EVERYONE!!!
You see, the Christmas Season and I, we share a very deep, personal, deep, special, and DEEP relationship! Oha, oha! Wala nang lalalim pa sa relasyon namin ni Christmas! Hahaha! Kidding aside, I don’t know… I just feel really HAPPY whenever this time of the year arrives.
It could be the nostalgia I feel that dates back to my childhood days… maybe it’s the awesome, lovely, and special people I spend it with… OR it could be the traditional lights and sounds show the city of Makati (my “work” town) showcases every year:
“Spectacular Spectrum” at the Ayala Triangle Gardens
happens every night, 6-9PM (until December 30, 2011).

Oo, ganito kami sa Makati! Hahaha!
Kahit ano pa ang dahilan, isa lang ang katotohanan: I. LOVE. CHRISTMAS!!!
So, in honor of my undying affection and love for the Season, I made a simple video (note: SIMPLE being the operative word!
) using “Christmas is” by Regine Velasquez featuring Jim Brickman as background music — which I consider one of the best Christmas songs ever made! It truly captures the real essence and meaning of the Season!
Please lang, panoorin niyo. Effort din maghanap ng pictures at mag-edit sa Windows MovieMaker noh! Wahahahaha!
Anyway, here are more pictures with SOME of the awesome, lovely, and special people I spend Christmas with:

with two of my sisters ♥

with my beautiful friends Camille and Tinah ♥
At akalain niyo, on this very same night… during our dinner…. LOOK WHO WE SAW:
If that’s not “Chistmas” destiny, then I don’t know what is! Haha!
Having said that,
“Christmas in Our Hearts,“ anyone?
Hotties from Faraway Lands! (Vol. 2)
Back in 2008, I was already into blogging… I just graduated from college… I was young… I was free… and I had A TON of celebrity crushes! So the obvious result? A certified *EYE CANDY* list, which I dub as the “HOTTIES FROM FARAWAY LANDS” list!!! Yes! ONLY on The Lady’s Blog, people.
For my guy readers out there, well, you’re welcome to “back out” NOW because you know, this is a kalandian post — but the cute kind of kalandian ah! Nakooow! Basta, it’s a GIRL THING! Hahaha!
As for my fellow “ladies” out there (girl power!), let’s proceed, shall we?
As you can see on the title, this is already a “sequel.” So yeah, expect mooore! Heck, this “list” might even become a “series!” — MIGHT being the operative word! Wahahahaha! Anyway, you can check out Vol. 1 here and the Twilight Edition here (I knooow! Don’t. even. ask. It was three freakin’ years ago!) MOVING ON…
I’m still deciding whether or not I can have “repeaters” in my future lists (you know, include those who have been featured in the previous ones), but we’ll see… For now, I’ll start with those who made it to THIS list — the short list, that is! So if your hottie’s not here, don’t worry! I’m already working on Vol. 3! Heehee.
THE HOTTIES FROM FARAWAY LANDS
#10 Matthew Lewis
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United Kingdom)

It’s amazing how a good set of teeth can instantly transform one person from “no one” to “someone!” Thank God the perfect pearly whites are the original! I say the reign of Harry Potter is sooo over… kaya Neville Longbottom — PASOK!
#9 Darren Criss
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

He can sing. He can dance. He can act. And he’s half-Filipino! Need I say more?
#8 Max Irons
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United Kingdom)

Well, if you can have someone like Max beside you all day long, then by all means… let there be werewolves!!! (If you didn’t get what I just said right there, then I guess you still haven’t watched Red Riding Hood starring Amanda Seyfried).
#7 Pierre Boulanger
(Faraway Land of Origin: France)

Aha! A consistent “name” in this blog of mine. Ever since I’ve watched Monte Carlo, this French hottie never failed to make me say ooh la la everytime I get a chance to see him — online or on-screen, of course!
#6 Logan Lerman
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

Whether he’s a demigod or a musketeer, one thing’s for sure: Logan is ONE. FINE. LerMAN!
#5 Shia Labeouf
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

I don’t care if he started as an awkward teenager in Even Stevens (but just so you know, I still found him cute even then!) But what matters most is the “transformation” Transformers has given him! So Optimus Prime and company, we owe you a lot! Hahaha!
#4 Reed Jobs
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

I’m a little biased here! Heehee. Anyway, I’ve been head over heels for the “Prince of APPLE” for quite some time now that he actually deserves a separate blog entry altogether! Having said that… very well, one blog entry coming up!
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this:
“When it comes to brains, this ‘apple’ clearly did not fall far from the tree!”
♥♥♥
#3 Chris Evans
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

He’s Captain freakin’ America!!! I don’t know about you, but this guy had me at the very start! So let’s go, Cap!
#2 Zac Efron
(Faraway Land of Origin: The United States)

When a guy can still manage to look H-O-T even with his clothes on, well, you can’t really argue with that anymore! It’s a DONE DEAL, people! Period.
…and of course, THE HOTTEST of ‘em all:
#1 Hugh Jackman
(Faraway Land of Origin: Australia)

Let’s see… He’s one heck of a great actor (he’s my most favorite, by the way!) Oh, he can sing too — but when he’s not singing, you can hear his very sexy Australian accent. Aside from that, he’s a very loving husband and father to his wife and children. Add those awesome abs to this mix = and you get one Hugh Jackman! One of a kind, indeed.

How about you? Who are your hotties from faraway lands?

Of Caffeine Fixes and *Fangirl-ing Moments*
Last Monday, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed… well, the right kind of wrong — I think! Why? Because while I was on my way to get my caffeine fix for the day, I was suddenly interrupted by two angels straight from Brazil and Japan respectively!!! Hahaha!
Okay, fine. I’m talking about Brapanese actors-slash-models Akihiro Sato and Fabio Ide. *squeal*

AKO NA... ako na ang na-sandwich sa gitna ng dalawang Brazilian-Japanese models! Hahaha!
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t really get starstruck that much (except if you’re Kate Middleton!) Simply put that way back in college, my school was a “breeding ground” for celebrities (teka, kasama ba’ko sa mga yun? SYEMPRE HINDI! Hahaha!) Anyway, I’m already used to seeing them because they were everywhere: classrooms, the cafeteria, hallways, libraries, parking lots, even restrooms! Besides, tao rin lang naman sila TULAD KO at TULAD MO! So what’s the BIG DEAL, right?
Yeah, I thought so too.
On that fateful Monday, I realized that there is a “deal” in fangirl-ing. It may not be “big,” but it’s still a DEAL nonetheless.
The deal is that fangirl-ing is FUN. Yes, I repeat: F-U-N.
FUNgirl-ing. Pwedeee!
Why “fun”? Simply because I was with my friends… and when you’re with your friends, you know that ANYTHING can happen! And when I say “anything,” kalokohan is included! Kalokohan. that. spells. FUN!
Alam niyo na… yung mga pa-simpleng sulyap… tapos ‘pag ready ka nang magpa-picture, aatras bigla. Pagka-atras, biglang tawanan! At hindi lang basta-basta tawanan — MALAKAS NA MALAKAS NA TAWANAN! Oh diba, other than LAUGHTER, what else can you use to measure FUN best?! WAHAHAHAHA!
Pagbigyan niyo na kami… kasi naman, bibili ka nga lang sana ng kape, bigla nalang may sasalubong sa’yong Akihiro at Fabio! At higit sa lahat, nalibre pa yung kape mo! Whew. Oh well papel. That’s one of the perks of working in the country’s “business district” AND in one of the business district’s awesome-est buildings! CHOS
But anyway, let’s go back to fangirl-ing.
I swear if I hadn’t been with my friends, I WOULDN’T have given in to my inner fangirl-self…
…but I swear if I hadn’t given in to my inner fangirl-self, I would’ve REGRETTED it too — BIG TIME! Miss the opportunity to pose beside two freakin’ hawt guyysss? No way, man! Kaya friendsss, THAAANKS! Fangirl-ing wouldn’t be complete without you!
That’s right. FUNgirl-ing won’t be the same without thy FRIENDS.
After all, encounters like this can make you truly think that there are “MANY FISH” in the sea…

Akihiro OR Fabio? ♥♥♥
…so don’t go sulking over one “fish” — real or not! Wahahahaha!
Lastly, being a fangirl isn’t limited to being a fan of “guys!” It can just simply mean that you’re A FAN. Period.
Let me share with you my other “fangirl” moments:

with Robi Domingo

with Josef Elizalde

with celebrity sisters, Megan and Lauren Young
Just a friendly reminder though:
It’s okay to give in to your fangirl-selves every once in awhile… but sooner or later, be sure to SNAP OUT OF IT! Besides, just like anything else (yes, caffeine included), “too much” is bad.
Yes people, too much fangirl-ing is dangerous to your health!!! So best to do it moderately.

But you can make an EXCEPTION from time to time, too! Heehee.
—
And since we’re already on the topic of being a fangirl, I’m encouraging YOU all to grab a copy of the newest book of Candy Magazine‘s Assistant Lifestyle Editor, Marla Miniano:

with Ms. Marla
Fangirl is available wherever Candy Magazine is sold.
Fangirl is Ms. Marla‘s FIFTH NOVEL. Amazing, isn’t she?
Anyway, I’m already done reading it and I give it a rating of: ♥♥♥♥♥
So grab a copy now and sympathize with Summer (the protagonist) as she experiences the wonderful world of FUNgirl-ing!
The end.
Define PRINCE.
According to my very helpful friend Mr. Longman, a PRINCE is…
Prince William
The Duke of Cambridge

Well obviously, he’s already taken! Heck, I even care more for his wife now! Hahaha! But I just have to give credit to the man… the person… the prince… who started it all — at least for ME!
Thanks a lot, Wills! Dahil sa’yo, sobrang taas tuloy ng standards ko! At dahil sa sobrang taas, wala pang pumapasa! FAIL!
Pierre Boulanger
The Prince of Monte Carlo — the movie!

No, he’s not a real-life prince. He didn’t even play the role of a “prince” in the movie Monte Carlo. But mind you, he’s one heck of a talented actor! Yung tipong may awards! And did I mention that he’s French?! Oh I don’t know… he has this certain charm that I can’t quite… Ah basta, yun na yun! If my entire rambling isn’t enough, I think the picture can explain it all!
Hmm… feeling ko lang TOWER siya… kasi EIFFEL in love with him eh! WAHAHAHAHA! (Talk about corny-ness to the nth level!!! Please bear with me, my dear readers!)

You guessed it right — he’s none other than the son of the late Steve Jobs. And I guess it’s safe to say: LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON! ♥
Condolence… If only I could hug you and be with you in these trying times… Seriously. :’(
The Commoner Prince

I’m sorry if I can’t name him, but only A FEW of my close friends know who this is…
Yes, he’s a real person! In fact, he’s a friend. It’s actually funny because it’s like I’ve known him for years, but it’s only NOW that I noticed him! (*gulp* heto naaa!) I guess what I CAN just tell you is that he’s a “prince” in his own right. Sa totoo lang, SIYA PALANG ANG PUMAPASA (in real life)! He’s ALMOST perfect! But then again, perfection is too overrated. And honestly, I don’t think I can star in the movie No Other Man — and no, that’s NOT a typo! Ouch! Bakit? Bakit kasi siya paaa?!
Anyway, if you noticed one thing my “princes” have in common, it’s that they’re all WAAAY OUT OF MY LEAGUE! Hahaha! Oh well papel. I guess I just have to find out if there’s going to be AN EXCEPTION… and when I say “exception,” I was MOSTLY referring to me! Otherwise, hello singlehood for life!!!
I don’t care if people call me “emotionally damaged” just like Jamie in Friends with Benefits (I love Mila Kunis, by the way!) because I want a “prince charming.” But one thing’s for sure: I will never ever settle for anything less OR second best! I’m sorry, but that’s just me! And besides, I think I can live with being “a lady” (as opposed to being promoted to “princess” or “duchess”) for life!
Oooh! Having said that, why look for a PRINCE when you can have a DUKE? Haha! ’Nuff said.
